Lacrosse is a thrilling and enjoyable game. It needs certain equipments to play this game. You have to protect your body from being wounded or injured while playing lacrosse. The basic lacrosse equipments are lacrosse helmet, mouth guard lacrosse glove, and lacrosse pads.

All lacrosse players wear lacrosse helmet with a 4-point buckling system which gives extra security. Lacrosse helmets protect front side of the face as they are made of hard plastic and wire mesh cage. To get better security, the face mask should have a centre-bar running from the top to bottom. Helmet is generally wear to protect the throat from being hit by the stick. Helmets for better safety should fit with the player to ensure full protection.

Lacrosse players need to wear mouth guard for protection of their teeth. Mouth guards can be molded to different shape and size in order to fit with your mouth and teeth. They can be made soften to mold my heating or applying with warm water. Mouth guards are highly recommended in leagues to soften blows to head and as prevention against concussion.

Lacrosse gloves are significant equipments for protecting the palm of the players from being hit by a stick. The gloves are specially design to protect the palm. There is heavy padding on the top of finger and leather substrate around it. The gloves should be long enough to cover hands and wrists. Gloves are manufactured on different sizes, ranging from 9 inches to 16 inches. Gloves size can be measured by measuring the length from the end of elbow pad to finger tip.

It is necessary to wear a number of pads while playing lacrosse to protect your vulnerable rib. To protect the lower back and kidney area, you need to wear some wrap versions of lacrosse pads. Wearing pads on the shoulder protects the upper part of your chest and shoulder. You can choose your suitable pad by using sizing charts or by measuring yourself.

Elbow pads are use to cover the elbow and upper arm as well as forearm in most of the leagues. To adjust with the varying size of elbow pads, varying numbers of straps are also available in the market. It is very important to use forearm pad in the sensitive and highly vulnerable area for extra protection.

Lacrosse sticks are vital lacrosse equipment. These sticks are grouped into two types i.e. mesh (soft, hard, or durra-mesh) and traditional. If you want to buy a lacrosse stick, buy the wooden stick. It can absorb impact of force better than aluminum and plastic stick.
