Rodeo Gear
Author: <ADMINNICENAME>You need rodeo gear for the toughest conditions if you are working in a ranch and you have the sacred duty of herding in vagabond or loose cattle on a daily basis. However, if you are just buying rodeo gear for a show, then you can just go ahead and buy gear components which will not last very long. If this is what you want you are better off going to a costume shop and renting the gear (now that is only a suggestion). The choice of avenue taken care of, you can really get very ambitious with that rodeo gear, the one which you intend to use for a very long time. Does the gear have to be so tough and so high quality? Now that is rhetorical question!
So first, let us define the components of a rodeo gear. The first component is a hat—now would that be a Resistol or Stetson hat which is commonly made of sturdy felt fur material. Bottom-line is, that hat of yours has to ably protect you from the sun’s harmful rays as you perform your ranch duties. How tough is that? Do not forget that you are also talking about rain here! And lest you forget, wet mud, too, especially if you fall head on those swampy spots while chasing some rogue cow.
Of course, you will need a real sturdy bull-riding vest on you. Black leather is not recommended. Brown is much better, and the rough kind of leather at that—not the type you will be watching out for telltale scratches (in other words, out there, style is out). Most bull riding vests have a 3-piece design (that is, front pieces completely separate from the back) and that is all right. Additional high-density foam and ballistic material on the inside are always welcome. But watch out for weak zippers, and if you can get away from the zippered design, so much the better.
Finally, you need to get yourself a pair of Ariat boots. Admittedly, this brand is more expensive than most cowboy boots, but this is the best because it provides the cushioning, fit and stability to reduce pressure on your feet, lower back, and legs. Out there in the field, you will need all the help you need in disciplining that rowdy herd.
